Rev Andy Pearson continues the sermon series in Ecclesiastes. Sometimes we struggle to be joyful at our circumstances of our lives. We might be anxious and this seeks to cast a shadow over Christian joy. This is not a new phenomenon; in Ecclesiastes 9 King Solomon also saw a distinct lack of joy in the people of God & writes this passage to show that our need for joy is an emergency situation. Real satisfaction can be found in the true joy of the Lord Jesus Christ.

He focuses on three main points in the passage:

1. Aspects of death (death is the same for all, death is unpredictable, death is diabolical)
2. Aspects of joy
3. Aspects of eternity
