The congregation belongs to the branch of Christianity commonly refered to as Presbyterian or Reformed. More specifically we are part of the Free Church of Scotland. However we have had christians from nearly all traditions and a great many nations choose to worship with us while in London.

The demographics of the congregation reflect London: people are constantly arriving and departing. This makes organisation difficult sometimes, but has meant that cliques have little chance to form and new comers are quickly integrated into the life of the congregation. If the person sitting next to you doesn't welcome you its probably because he/she is waiting for you to welcome him/her!

The present congregation was founded in 1949 and has been through several changes of name and place of worship.
